EIGRP Multi-AF (Address Family)

EIGRP Multi-AF atau Address Family adalah sebuah fitur pada EIGRP yang dimana Autonomous Systemnya menggunakan penamaan huruf. Nah untuk penamaan AS menggunakan huruf ini dapat mengubah EIGRP yang digunakan menjadi 64 bit. Dan juga ketika menggunakan kita cukup membuat satu instance, nah instance yang dibuat itu dapat dipakai untuk IPv4  dan IPv6. Maksudnya jika kita menggunakan EIGRP 32 bit, jika kita ingin mengkonfigurasikan EIGRP untuk IPv4 dan IPv6, maka kita harus mengkonfigurasikan satu persatu, EIGRP untuk IPv4 dan IPv6. Jika menggunakan EIGRP 64 bit, kita cukup membuat 1 named EIGRP dan tinggal kita definisikan kita ingin mengadvertise IPv4 atau IPv6 pada command Address Family. Untuk memperjelas kita langsung masuk ke lab. Berikut topologi dan konfigurasinya. Pada lab kali ini kita menggunakan IoS C7200. Untuk IOS bisa di download disini

Kita akan mengkonfigurasikan EIGRP dengan nama IDN dan AS 10.

Sekarang kita konfigurasikan EIGRP Multi Address Family dengan spesifikasi nama IDN dan AS 10.

Nah disini fungsi command address family IPv4 itu kita mendefinisikan bahwa protocol IP yang akan dibawa oleh EIGRP adalah IPv4. Dan Autonomous System itu berfungsi untuk mendefinisikan AS yang akan kita gunakan.

Nah disini terlihat bahwa semua network telah ada di routing table R2, tapi kita lihat biasanya pada konfigurasi EIGRP biasa kita harus mengkonfigurasikan no auto-summary, supaya network yang terdaftar itu tidak di summary secara otomatis. Namun jika menggunakan named EIGRP, secara otomatis ketika menerima routing update, maka secara otomatis si router akan mendisable fitur auto summary.

Terakhir tinggal kita coba lakukan test ping.
